What Class 4 does NOT protect

These look similar but belong to another class. Choosing wrong is the most common reason a trademark protects less than its owner believes.

The most expensive mistake in Class 4

Class 4 covers general-purpose oils, waxes and candles, and a specific purpose is enough to move a product out of it. Depilatory wax is class 3, dental wax is class 5, anti-rust oil is class 2, and a massage candle is class 3 or class 5 depending on its use. Before filing, check the nature and use of every product in the line, not just its name.
