What Class 24 does NOT protect

These look similar but belong to another class. Choosing wrong is the most common reason a trademark protects less than its owner believes.

The most expensive mistake in Class 24

Class 24 is fabric and what is made from it for the home, not the garment you wear. A textile workshop that also makes clothing needs class 25, and if it sells cushions or upholstered furniture, class 20. Purpose also pulls products out of the class: insulating fabric is class 17 and an electric blanket for medical use is class 10. For Mexican artisan textiles, this is the class of the finished piece; the yarn it is woven with is class 23.
