IMPI’s fees are set by law and published in the Diario Oficial de la Federacion. They are identical for a Mexican company and a foreign one, and they are charged in Mexican pesos wherever your business is based.

Filing online carries an automatic 10% discount. Amounts come from the IMPI tariff published in the DOF on 15 March 2024. USD is approximate, converted at the Banxico FIX rate of 17.5130 MXN per USD published on 24 July 2026. The peso amount is what you actually pay.
If you sell products and also provide services, you need more than one Nice class. Each class is a separate application with its own fee and its own examination. Three classes filed online is $8,441.31 MXN, about US$482, in IMPI fees alone. A company that files in one class to keep the cost down usually finds the gap later, when a competitor registers the class it skipped.
